Japanese lacquer (urushi) has long been prized for its soft surface, bright gloss and rich colors. From ancient times to present day, it has been used to coat both sacred and commonplace items: from temple and shrine interiors, to lamps and eating utensils. Awagami has developed this line of beautiful embossed paper to emulate the look and feel of Japanese lacquer. The patterns are highlighted in graphic relief. Machine-made of 100% wood pulp, Lacquer paper is ideal for scrapbooking, collage, box making, card making, book arts and decorative use. These sheets measure 21.7x31.5 inches and weigh 60gsm.
